- New date
- For the first time held in C Halls
- Unchanged duration
At the request of a great
number of exhibitors, associations and visitors, the date for Jagen und Fischen
is moved from spring to autumn. Many exhibitors found the initially scheduled
date in the middle of April extremely late; Jagen und Fischen would have marked
the end of the round of hunting exhibitions. This situation will change with
the new date. Jagen und Fischen 2011 in Munich
will then be the upbeat of the trade-fair season.
The 15th
International Exhibition of Hunting, Fishing and Outdoor Life will now be held from 9th to 13th
November 2011. There are plans to move the dates of the 2013 and 2015 events
nearer to the beginning of the month of November.
In addition, Jagen und Fischen
2011 will move into the C Halls because there are more comfortable parking possibilities
for the visitors. On the opposite side of the car park, the North Entrance is
available to the visitors. Those who come by public transport can comfortably
reach the North Entrance of the Munich Trade Fair Centre by using shuttle
buses.
The
exhibition’s duration remains unchanged. Traditionally, Jagen und Fischen lasts
five days, starting on a Wednesday and ending on a Sunday.
The President of the Bavarian
Hunting Organization (BJV), Prof. Jürgen Vocke,
sees chances and advantages for the autumn date. On behalf of his organization,
he expresses himself positively about the choice of the new fair date: “Besides
the new date in November, the exhibition’s move into the C Halls has also many
advantages for us. The parking spaces in front of the halls can be reached more
easily, our partners in the passenger car area can present themselves better
and, from my viewpoint, the entire entrance situation is more suitable for
Jagen und Fischen than the area of the B Halls. In November 2011, Jagen und
Fischen will open its gates at a new date with a new face. These are the best
prerequisites for giving new impetus to the exhibition.
Alfons Blank, President of the Upper Bavarian Fishing Association, shows great
confidence in the new date of Jagen und Fischen on behalf of the Bavarian
fishermen: “The Upper Bavarian Fishing Association hopes that the new date will
contribute to the attractiveness of the popular Jagen und Fischen exhibition in
Munich. The new
date in November accommodates the wishes of both the exhibitors and the
visitors and allows for more efficient planning for the coming season.
From the viewpoint of the
exhibition organizer, Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, Managing Director of Messe München,
summarizes the reasons for the new date as follows: “Messe München has taken
the wish for a new date for Jagen und Fischen very seriously because we do not
only want to talk about customer orientation but to experience it. I am
therefore all the more happy that we have been able to find a very suitable
date in agreement with the Bavarian Hunting Organization and the Upper Bavarian
Fishing Association. Since the majority of the visitors travels to Munich from the outskirts
of the region and therefore mainly arrives by bus or car, the exhibition’s move
into the C Hall represents a clear improvement thanks to the paved parking
spaces located near the North Entrance.”
