Only a few more days until JAGEN UND FISCHEN 2023 will open its doors! Visitors can expect a wide range of activities, shows, demonstrations and presentations.

The first exhibitors have already arrived to set up, and the final preparations for the JAGEN UND FISCHEN 2023 trade fair are forging ahead, so that on Friday we can once again truly say that this is the place where tradition meets modernity!

The 2nd International South German Casting Championship will be a very special highlight this year. Amateur enthusiasts and professionals can compete in precision casting with a fishing rod under the auspices of the Landesfischereiverband Bayern und Baden-Württemberg (Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg fisheries association), and the winners will be determined in the Arenberg and Skish disciplines. Visitors will also be able to test their skills on Friday and Sunday. The world of angling will also present daily demonstrations in the show kitchen on how to prepare fish, and you can sample delicious fish dishes directly in the Ortlfinger Fischerstüble fish restaurant.

There is also plenty on offer for families with children. Free guided tours are available with no prior registration on Saturday and Sunday at 11.15 am and 1.30 pm by the hunting adventure world and, last but not least, visitors can marvel at numerous animals on site:

  • A bird of prey flight demonstration will take place daily at 2.00 pm in the trade fair grounds; the elegant avian hunters will also be presented close enough for visitors to touch them at the stand of the Deutsche Falkenorden (German order of the falcon, an association for falconry, birds of prey protection and birds of prey science) and the Orden Deutscher Falkoniere (order of German falconers).
  • You can see the hunting dogs in action daily at 2.30 pm, and on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 10.30 am. Terrier and burrow dogs will also be put through their paces twice daily from Friday to Sunday at 11.30 am and 3.30 pm. You can also admire the dogs outside the demonstration times in the hunting dogs' adventure world.
  • Marvel at the native species of fish and crayfish in the aquariums of the fishing world of experience.

Numerous exciting presentations in both the hunting and fishing forums will take place, and the 300 exhibitors will, of course, offer their full range of products and services to the 25,000 visitors who are anticipated to attend the event; some will even be offering special promotions. For example, you can try out the thermal imaging devices live at Carl Zeiss and even win one!
